Adding and Managing Search Targets
Search Targets (or Z39.50 Targets) can be used for copy cataloging in ‡biblios.net.
Finding and sharing search targets
‡biblios.net includes a Target Registry that can be used to search for and share Z39.50 targets. The registry supports searching by Name, Host, Library Type and Country. Users can submit modifications to existing records in the Registry to make improvements such as filling out the 'Search Settings' to clarify which bib1 parameters are supported and how they should be mapped to CCL search parameters such as 'ti' (Title), 'au' (Author), etc.

- To find for an additional search target, load the ‡biblios Cataloging Application, click on Options -> Search Targets and enter a Name Host address, Country or Library Type in the search box;
- To share a target with others click 'Add Target', a new row will appear, and you can double-click in that row for each column to input the Z39.50 information for that target. Test the target by highlighting it and clicking 'Test Target'. This will validate that the server has initialized and recognizes the specified database name. Share it with others by highlighting the target and clicking 'Share Target';
- To update a target and improve the quality of information for that target, load the target's information, edit it, then highlight the target and click 'Share Target'.
